great base for exploring parks and historic landmarks
I spent a night here and really appreciated that it was just a short stroll of less than 3 km to the Museum of Reading and only a little over 2 km to the beautiful Reading Abbey Ruins, making my weekend city strolls super enjoyable. the breakfast was really tasty too with great poached eggs and plenty of coffee.

The room had an uncomfortable bed and lacked a window for fresh air.

convenient location, friendly check-in service
The maintenance issues were unacceptable!!! A non-flushing toilet and broken windows make for a frustrating stay. Plus, the lack of follow-up on lost items was disappointing. Please improve the overall upkeep!!!

the location was super convenient for the festival, and the room was nice and spacious for the price. the staff were really helpful, especially when i needed to extend my stay! got a taxi easily from reception too, which was great. breakfast was decent but could have used more options, like fruit or somethin. overall, it was a good stay!
the bathroom had some mold on the ceiling and the fan was really loud sounding like heavy machinery. also, the parking situation wasn't great, not much space outside.

Good vibes, but needs a little TLC
The staff were super chill and helped me snag a taxi when I needed one for the festival. The room was big and tidy, which was great. Dinner was solid, but breakfast was kinda rough, with overcooked eggs and yucky mushrooms. It’s got potential, but some areas look a bit worn out.

The bar had a decent drink, even if the barista looked like she'd just stepped out for a night out. Plus, the room was spacious and comfy, perfect for a good night's sleep. The location is fab, with top-notch local spots like Roti Runner just a short stroll away for culinary treasures.
And the service in the morning was a bit of a nightmare, housekeepers barging in too early—like they were on a mission to get us up at the crack of dawn.
